The Columbia City Dairy Queen will be having a fundraiser for FCA on Tuesday night August 27 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. They are going to donate 10% of all sales to us - except if you buy Gift Cards, but you may use gift cards that night. HINT HINT, buy your gift cards ahead - we get 30% and wil also get 10% of your sale - they recommended this to us, their term was Double Dipping. Here are some things YOU can do to help: 1. Come out to eat, and bring family and friends. 2. Tell them all about it 3. We will need at least 2 people per hour to be at the DQ. We may also have our students there and helping. 4. Wear our FCA shirts 5. PRAY about this great event. 6. Volunteer to help with set up and planning for this.

It's that time again. Time to start thinking about getting back to the business of school. Our FCA Open House/Back to School Night is set for Monday, August 19th. Open House will run from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. and our Back to School Orientation program will be from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m. We hope to see everyone that night as several very important things will occur. This is a great opportunity to drop off school supplies, meet and/or reacquaint yourself with your student's teacher and a chance to listen to me and Pastor Larry explain important changes and improvements for the coming school year. Additionally, we will ask all parents to update their student information pages. This year, however, we will not ask you to fill out a new page. Instead we are asking parents to change any information that is no longer correct on last year's student data page. If everything is still correct you need only sign the verification page. While some of you are old hands at the ways of FCA we still encourage you to come that evening. We look forward to seeing everyone that evening and seeing bright shining faces by 8:00 the following morning. On Monday May 13th, the teachers, staff, board of directors and administrator of Faith Christian Academy will again be working at the Columbia City McDonald’s from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. “This is a great time for all. We really enjoy seeing all of our friends, and sharing some of the art work from our students with the Community,” said administrator Larry Schmoekel. Come in for some of that great McDonalds food and 20% of all sales will go to benefit Faith Christian Academy. That is 20% of all sales – even the drive-thru. So come on out, enjoy McDonald’s and see us work. And remember salads will make great meals for Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Columbia City Marco’s Pizza is having a Faith Christian Academy Day on April 15th. All you have to do is mention FCA and we will get 20% of that purchase. That’s it –just say FCA and we get the cash!! This is ALL DAY on Monday, April 15th from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM . Please try to get all of the orders you can – maybe your work place would like to have fresh, hot, wonderful pizza for lunch or supper. Or the church youth group or Deacons meeting – whatever – just EAT Pizza! We had a very successful Marco's Day, we made $233.74!

Parents who have children who will be five years old on or before August 1 are invited to Faith Christian Academy for our open house and Kindergarten Roundup on Tuesday March 19 from 5:00 – 6:30. The Kindergarten Roundup will take each child through a series of activities normal for our kindergarten. There is also an open house for Preschool, and K – 8th Grade students that will allow interested folks to come and see our school close up. For more information, or to register, call 248-4872. To help you have the best pizza for this all important day, Faith Christian Academy is again making and selling fresh pizzas! For only $12 you can purchase and take home a 16 inch fresh pizza. (If you get 5 or more they are $11.00 each) And you have your choice of double cheese, pepperoni, pork sausage, or ½ & ½ on a regular crust. “These pizzas have the same great ingredients you will find in a ‘Pizzeria Pizza’, real cheese and all the rest” said Larry Schmoekel, administrator and pizzeria chef.
