Successful Nelson’s Chicken

Our 2018 Nelson’s Chicken Sale was certainly one for the books. For the first in 3 or 4 years we had a warm, dry Saturday. It started off great, and we were selling Chicken and Pit ‘Tators by 10:00. Then about 10:30 or so the cooker broke completely. We were able to have chicken for all of the pre-sales, but we were 120 chicken halves short of our order. We had to turn away a lot of people and disappoint them. When we received the bill from Nelson’s they GAVE us credit for the profit we would have made on the chickens we were not able to sell. What a great company. That allowed us to make our usual $ 1,200.00. I did not have to ask for the difference, they gave it to us unasked. Needless to say, we will see you next year on May 4, 2019 in the WalMart parking lot.
